First rotary tool carving

     My first rotary carving.  This is actually from a scroll saw pattern from one of the magazines I used to subscribe to.  Instead of cutting it out and it being a one layer thickness I gave it some dimension by power carving the layers in different depths.  I also rounded the base.  The outside was cut with my scroll saw.
     Just getting used to which bits to use for what and what speed to use them at.

First Post

This is the very first post on my blog.  This blog will be about creations that I make in my workshop.  I will also talk about some of the tools and techniques that I use to make these creations.  Some things that I will make will be Christmas ornaments, some furniture/fixtures, and some small and medium size carvings.
